AUDIO allow for standalone audio files to be added to a collection. End users can view and download the audio files much the same way that they would a video.
To create audio content, navigate to the Audio section under Content Publishing in the left-hand navigation menu, then click on the “Create Audio” button at the top right. In the resulting popup menu, name your audio content and designate an author. This will bring you to the creation page where you can upload, tag, link, and publish your audio content.
To select an audio file or upload a new audio file for publishing, click the blue “Select asset” button on the right-hand side of the interface. The resulting popup menu allows you to select an existing media asset or upload a new media asset.

Note: PLEASE use the search bar under the “Select existing Media Asset” section to search for your media asset before uploading a new one to prevent multiple copies of large media files. |
To select an existing media asset, either scroll through the available media or use the search bar at the top right to find the desired media asset, click on the media asset (this will display a preview, the label, and some metadata), and click the “Use selected media” button at the bottom right.
To upload a new media asset, click the “Upload a new audio” tab at the top right of the popup menu. First, label the audio file (this will be the name of the audio in your media assets database). Then, select the desired file from your computer. Once the file has successfully loaded, click the “Create new audio asset” button at the bottom right.

Note: It may take several minutes for the media to process for publication. If you have completed all required steps and still cannot publish the item, you will see a pop-up when you hover over the “Publish” button which states, “Some media is still being processed for publication. Please wait a few minutes. If this lasts more than ten minutes, please contact Allogy support.” |
Including an icon for your audio file is recommended. To do so, click the “[camera icon] Update” button. The resulting pop-up will allow you to select a file from your computer, crop it accordingly, and preview the image. Click “Save Icon” to return to the builder where you will see the icon where the grey camera icon was before.
Categories are ways to tag similar content for easy retrieval using the filtering option. The categories tab allows content creators to create and manage categories, which are attached to category groups. When content is tagged with a category in a category group, that content will display when a user filters content by that category. We recommend that you add at least one tag to the audio content before publishing.
Before the audio content can be published, you must first link the content to at least one collection. To do so, click the blue “Link” button, which will display all available collections. Click the linking icon on the right side of any collection to link the audio file to that collection. The collections you have selected will now populate in the builder. To unlink the file, simply click the red icon under the Unlink column.
Once you have selected an audio file and linked it to a collection, the “Publish” “Publish” button will become available. (See note above concerning possible wait times for publication processing.)
You can only delete a file before it is published. To do so, click the hamburger icon (three dots) at the top right of the “Publish” button. A pop-up will open requiring you to manually type DELETE into the text-box window before allowing you to permanently delete the file.
