select the desired file from your computer. Once the file has successfully loaded, click the “Create new video asset” button at the bottom right.

Info

Note: It may take several minutes for the media to process for publication. If you have completed all required steps and still cannot publish the item, you will see a pop-up when you hover over the “Publish” button which states, “Some media is still being processed for publication. Please wait a few minutes. If this lasts more than ten minutes, please contact Allogy support.”

Including an icon for your video file is recommended. To do so, click the “[camera icon] Update” button. The resulting pop-up will allow you to select a file from your computer, crop it accordingly, and preview the image. Click “Save Icon” to return to the builder where you will see the icon where the grey camera icon was before.

Categories are ways to tag similar content for easy retrieval using the filtering option. The categories tab allows content creators to create and manage categories, which are attached to category groups. When content is tagged with a category in a category group, that content will display when a user filters content by that category. We recommend that you add at least one tag to the video content before publishing.

Before the video content can be published, you must first link the content to at least one collection. To do so, click the blue “Link” button, which will display all available collections. Click the linking icon on the right side of any collection to link the video file to that collection. The collections you have selected will now populate in the builder. To unlink the file, simply click the red icon under the Unlink column.

Once you have selected a video file and linked it to a collection, the “Publish” button will become available. (See note above concerning possible wait times for publication processing.)

You can only delete a file before it is published. To do so, click the hamburger icon (three dots) at the top right of the “Publish” button. A pop-up will open requiring you to manually type DELETE into the text-box window before allowing you to permanently delete the file.
