BOOKS are the most media-rich of the Content Types.

The Book Content-Type allows the embedding of various Components. The 9 Component Types possible within the Book are as follows:

  1. Display Group
A Display Group is a generic method to allow grouping of questions as a subcategory of their current level. There is no answer field to this component, so any text provided here will be for display only.

  2. Video Display
The Video component allows an Author to upload a video file to a Book, embedding it within other media types.

  3. Image Display
The Image Display component allows an Author to upload an image file to a Book, embedding it within other media types.

  4. PDF Display
The PDF Display component allows an Author to upload a PDF file to a Book. The PDF component is helpful for incorporating existing, stylized content within the apps in a manner consistent with their original design.

  5. Audio Playback
The Audio Playback component allows an Author to upload an audio file to a Book so that Users can listen to the audio as long as they remain in the section within which that Audio Playback component resides.

  6. Rich Editor
Rich Editor is a simple WYSIWYG text editor, allowing for document-like creation of text. This tool is helpful for creating headers, paragraphs, lists, and other text.

  7. Panel Card Block List Display
Panel Card provides your UI with a card-style text container to a viewer, displaying a heading label and simple rich-text body within your document. This component is helpful for asides, such as anecdotes or definitions, which are good to separate from other text.

  8. Block List Display
Block List Display shows information to a User as a primary or emphasized list of points, implying greater importance of information than the normal lists within rich text editing.

  9. Linked Content
The Linked Content component creates a link to one of the existing Collection Content items for your User to click and open.
